Plasticard Locktech International Makes Inc. 5000 List for Third Straight Year
Asheville, NC - Inc. Magazine today named Plasticard Locktech International to the Inc.5000 list of fastest growing private companies in the country. This is the third straight year that the company has appeared on the list.
Jane Berentson, Editor of Inc. Magazine, stated that “Since debuting in 1991 with 100 of the fastest growing private U.S companies, then expanding the following year to the Inc. 500 and again in 2007 to the Inc. 5000, the list has served as evidence of the significant accomplishments of entrepreneurial companies. As an Inc. 5000 honoree, Plasticard Locktech International shares a prestigious pedigree with some of the most successful businesses in America”.
Plasticard Locktech International is the world’s largest hotel keycard manufacturer. In business for over 21 years, PLI is headquartered in Asheville, North Carolina. PLI works with most major hotel chains as well as thousands of event planners and advertisers, producing millions of keycards annually, as well as a variety of other products in plastic and paper.
The company expanded its role in the gift card and loyalty card market in 2008, purchasing Plasticard Plus in Nashville, Tennessee. This not only gave PLI increased exposure in this market, but enabled it to offer gift card processing to all size businesses in addition to card manufacturing.
In response to the company being named to the Inc. 5000 list for three straight years, Mark Goldberg, PLI President and CEO, commented that “being able to transfer our expertise in hotel key cards to other products has led us to identify several opportunities for growth”.
