Leveling Up in Hospitality
At PLI, we are committed to delivering best-in-class solutions that help our hospitality partners shine. As the industry evolves and demands greater speed, consistency, and more tailored print solutions, so do we. This year, we are proud to share two exciting advancements that elevate our print capabilities and empower our clients with even more precision and flexibility. Our Asheville facility has earned a G7 Certification for 2025, and we’ve added a new large-format high-speed digital press to our production floor. These upgrades reflect our ongoing investment in quality, efficiency, sustainable-cards, and service that will make a powerful impact.
Sustainability That Sets the Standard
Excellence at PLI isn’t just about output, it’s also about impact. Our Asheville facility doesn’t just lead in print capabilities; it’s also a model of environmental responsibility. Over the past 12 months, Asheville diverted 96.29% of its total waste from landfills, an achievement that reflects our deep commitment to sustainable operations.
To put that achievement into perspective:
- Total Waste Produced: 508,951 lbs. (254.5 tons) equivalent to 170 Toyota Prius®
- Total Waste Diverted: 490,071 lbs. (245 tons) equivalent to 163 Toyota Prius®
- Landfill Waste: Just 3.7% (18,880 lbs.) about 6.2 Prius® worth of waste
By continuously improving our recycling and diversion efforts, we not only reduce our environmental footprint but also help our partners meet their own sustainable-cards goals. This focus on green operations complements our production investments, creating a balanced, forward-thinking approach to hospitality solutions.
G7 Certification: Consistent Color, Predictable Quality
G7 Certification is a leading industry standard for color consistency across different printing systems and substrates. By meeting this rigorous benchmark, PLI ensures that your printed materials maintain uniform, accurate color regardless of the press or material used. This is especially important for hospitality clients who rely on consistent branding across various touchpoints.
Here’s how G7 makes a difference:
- Consistent Color: A cohesive look across everything from hotel key cards to welcome folders
- Reliable Process Control: Predictable and repeatable results
- Reduced Waste: Less ink and substrate waste through fine-tuned processes
- Accelerated Turnaround Times: Faster movement from approval to finished product
- Improved Quality Control: Enhanced framework from file setup to final inspection
The Hellcat: Speed Meets High-Resolution Impact
We’re also excited to introduce our newest powerhouse on the production floor, a large-format, high-speed digital press we call The Hellcat. Delivering sharp 1,200 dpi resolution, this press offers unmatched versatility for various substrates, magnetic stripes, and RFID technology. Perfect for both short and long runs, The Hellcat is built for the fast-paced needs of today’s hospitality programs.
With variable data and imaging capabilities, personalized printing is more accessible than ever. The Hellcat is particularly well-suited for:
- Small Independent Hotels
- Special Events and Conferences
- Player Loyalty Cards
- Event Badges
- Ancillary Printed Products
Whether you’re preparing for your next key card order or seeking a more sustainable partner in production, PLI’s investments in quality, print innovation, and eco-conscious operations help you stay ready, stay consistent, and stay ahead.
