PLI Adding More Capacity

New Bobst and Additional Pack-Smart Machines Are Here to Boost Capacity and Security

For the second year in a row, PLI is spending millions in capital to increase its G&L manufacturing capacity with the addition of a brand-new Bobst and an additional Pack-Smart machine. With the addition of these machines, we are not only ramping up our production capabilities, but we are enhancing quality control and ensuring security across all our services. This is the second Pack- Smart machine added by PLI in the past six months.

The Bobst Machine: Precision and Capacity Like Never Before

We’re thrilled to announce that PLI has a new Bobst machine designed specifically for paper cards and carriers. This machine is a game-changer, offering a tremendous increase in capacity and allowing us to keep all card and carrier production in-house. Why is this important to you?

  • 100% Color Match: The Bobst ensures a perfect color match between cards and carriers every single time. No more worrying about mismatched tones or inconsistencies.
  • Increased Efficiency: With the Bobst machine, we now print 95% of all carriers in-house, which means we have full control over quality and turnaround times. This is a huge advantage when it comes to ensuring the best possible experience for you.
Additional Pack-Smart Machine: Securing the Future of Gift and Loyalty Cards

To further enhance our security and production capabilities, PLI has installed a second Pack-Smart machine. This machine is designed to provide advanced, secure packing solutions, and here’s why it’s important:

  • Meeting Growing Demand: With new regulations like the Maryland Bill and other state proposals rolling out in 2025, we’re anticipating a surge in demand for secure, traceable card production. This new machine will significantly boost our ability to handle these volumes.
  • End-to-End Security: The Pack-Smart machine offers real-time data encoding, high-speed printing, and advanced security features like tamper-evident packaging and NFC, RFID, magstripe, and barcode encoding. This ensures that every card, whether it’s a health card, bank card, or gift card, is produced with the highest standards of security and accuracy.
  • Complete Traceability: From substrate quality to barcode accuracy, the Pack-Smart machines track every material and process in real-time, ensuring flawless card packaging. This enhanced visibility and accountability gives you peace of mind knowing that every card is produced and delivered with unmatched precision.
What This Means for You

These new machines aren’t just about increasing production capacity, they’re about ensuring that your products are delivered with the utmost confidence, security, and reliability. By integrating cutting-edge technology, we’re able to offer flawless card production, seamless customer experiences, and complete process transparency.

Stay tuned, these innovations are just the beginning of what we have in store. In the future – More Pack-Smart machines are on their way to PLI!
