PLI Helps Sweet Dreams, Full Plates Achieve Record Success

ASHEVILLE, NC – PLI (Plasticard-Locktech International LLP) designed, manufactured and donated hotel door hangers and posters to promote the third annual Sweet Dreams, Full Plates campaign, helping to set a new record this year –an incredible $59,100 dollars in September to support Mountain Area Nutritional Needs Alliance (MANNA) FoodBank’s mission.

In addition to contributing marketing materials, PLI also produced custom Hotel key Cards to further promote the event, donating a portion of the sale proceeds from the key cards to MANNA. The special key cards were purchased by Asheville area hotels that participated in the campaign.

“PLI is pleased to be a part of such a worthwhile and successful endeavor,” said Kathy McDougall, Vice President, Human Resources, PLI. “Sweet Dreams, Full Plates is one of several non-profit, charitable campaigns that PLI participates in as part of the company’s commitment to giving back to the communities in which we live and work in.”

The concept of Sweet Dreams, Full Plates is simple. Hotel guests, during the month of September, are given the opportunity to forgo stayover services by hanging a door hanger on their room door. The door hanger says, “We Fed A Family,” and for every room that chooses to participate, the hotel makes a $2 donation on their behalf. With each $2 donation, MANNA FoodBank is able to provide enough food for seven meals. “Sweet Dreams Full Plates has become a passion for our team,” said Brenda Durden, Asheville Hotel Group Chief Operating Officer. “It has brought everyone closer and we have had an amazing number of guests who have said how happy they are to stay at a property who cares about their community.” For more information visit sweetdreamsfullplates.org
