The New Year - A Letter from our CEO to Employees

PLI Team Members, 

As we step into this new year, it marks the beginning of a new, fresh, and bright chapter at PLI.  Your hard work, commitment, and excellent performance in 2023 has paved the way to set us up for a successful year in 2024.   

With the completion of our Centers of Manufacturing Excellence strategy nearing completion and being fully established in Q1, we are well underway to optimize our expanded capacity and create efficient and effective processes and products for our customers as planned. This strategy enables us to have an increased, concentrated focus on creating elevated, superior products, while also streamlining your work.   

For our Gift and Loyalty business segment this year, our goals are to help the industry combat gift card fraud by providing product solutions and continue to create innovative solutions to support the environment by providing alternative card substrate solutions. We have made investments in adhesive and paper card machinery to tackle these leading topics and are enhancing our innovation capabilities to meet our customers’ needs from cards to packaging and more. 

For our HEAT (Hospitality, Events, Advertisement and Transit) business segment, I’m pleased to have Scott Begbie, our new VP of Sales, on board to help take this business segment to new heights with his strategies and extensive experience in the industry. I am also excited to share the launch of a redesigned portal for our HEAT customers to provide them with a seamless ordering platform and improved experience for a more suited and streamlined process. In the hospitality industry right now, increasing hotel key card security for guests has become a hot industry topic, we are pleased to launch a new chip technology to meet the needs of our customers. We continue to make significant capital investment with the new DiceTrax to elevate our Events sector and provide extremely quick turn times for short runs.   

Moreover, there’s a lot of new and exciting things planned for 2024 as we continue to invest in you, our customers, our equipment and our facilities to position ourselves as the leading card manufacturer and place where our PLI teammates are valued. 

I would like to thank you for your efforts and accomplishments that have been instrumental and led to our success to this point, as well as for all your future achievements as we continue to set new standards and reach our goals collaboratively.  

Let us view this new year as a chance to see opportunities where there are challenges and continue to shine and work together.
